In Ireland, Wearing A Thong Means You’re Asking For It.

I kid you not. An article in the New York Times today tells the story of a 17 year old girl in Cork, Irland who lost her trial when the defending attorney used her THONG as evidence of consent during closing arguments. This amoral attorney asked the jury to consider the type of underwear she wore as proof that she was asking for it.

The 27-year old man was acquitted of all rape charges.

I am happy to report that after the trial the people of Ireland erupted. Hundreds of women and men in five cities across the country protested, screaming their outrage, carrying lace underwear in hand.

#ThisIsNotConsent is now trending on twitter. I invite you to post this hashtag with a pair of lace thongs and join the conversation. PLEASE!
